 Mass Telephone Notification System

The Mass Telephone Notification System is desinged to quickly alert the public of emergencies or important information that my effect their health or welfare including evacuation notices and missing child/vulnerable adult alerts. Upon direction by local Fire/EMS or Law Enforcement, this system enables the Dakota Communications Center to send recorded messages to targeted areas within the County.

In addition to hard-wire home phones that are automatically registered, residents and business in Dakota County can self-register cellular and other contact telephone numbers, along with email addresses, they wouldlike alerted in the event of an emergency in the area of their Dakota county residence or business.

Setting up your profile allows you to maintain changes to your cell phone and email entries and also remove them from the database.

How Often are Notifications Sent:

Notification are sent rarely, and only if deemed important by your local fire or police department. Wire-oine calls are part of the overall 9-1-1 database and cannot be removed from the notification process.
